Santa Barbara is an extraordinary place to live.  This site offers a broad range of resources to investigate Santa Barbara, Montecito and the surrounding communities of Hope Ranch, Goleta, Carpinteria, Summerland and the Santa Ynez Valley.  There are links that allow you access to "all" the current listings in each of these areas.This resource is updated daily for all property types including single family residences, condominiums, rentals, land, income property and ranches. Use this feature for your research or home comparison; here´s how.

To find Santa Barbara real estate and Montecito real estate; click on "Search for Homes" at the top of the home page or on the link "Santa Barbara MLS" on any of the community pages.  A new window will open up that features an interactive map of the area.This field will begin to populate with icons representing available Santa Barbara homes for sale and Montecito homes for sale.These may seem overwhelming at this point, so you may want to create a custom search for properties that you´re specifically interested in, try these search suggestions.

How to Use the MLS Search Guide:
Here´s how to locate the properties that you´d like to see.  From the frame area directly above the map, choose one of these search methods.  (I'd recommend the County/City search.)

1). MAP SEARCH - Place your cursor over the map where you will be able to outline/shade a specific geographic area, this will enlarge the selected area and listing icons will appear within that area.  You can also zoom in or out by using the selections below the map.  There are also field boxes below the map where you may be able to enter criteria that will define your search, some information is good, too much and your search return may be too limited. Move the cursor over an icon to bring up the listing information and click on for details.

2). COUNTY/CITY - The county should indicate Santa BarbaraCounty.  Select the communities from the box on the left by highlighting then click the 'add' button to select those areas for your search.Below these boxes you will see two areas to either check off or enter more specific information.  I would recommend using these filters sparingly.  The more parameters that are entered the fewer results will appear and often times the listing information is either not complete or inaccurate.  Most often choosing an area and a price range will be the best way to start.  These searches will appear on a new screen with all the matching properties; click on individual property options for detailed information.
