Location:
The City of Goleta and the surrounding lands which are part of Santa Barbara County also known as Goleta are located to the west of the city of Santa Barbara. Goleta extends west from Hope Ranch and Highway 154 all along the southern coast of Santa Barbara County up to the top of the Santa Ynez Mountain range which defines much of the south county´s area a few miles inland. The following neighborhoods are part of the area known as Goleta: Gaviota Coast, Hollister Ranch, Tecolote Canyon, Winchester Canyon, El Encanto Heights, Ellwood, Isla Vista, Goleta South, Glen Annie Canyon, Cathedral Oaks, Goleta North, Old San Marcos Pass and San Antonio Canyon.

The Gaviota Coast features miles of unspoiled California coastline that include these state beaches and parks: Goleta Beach County Park, Sea Lookout County Park, El Capitan State Beach, Refugio State Beach, Gaviota State Park and the Los Padres National Forest.
