Location: The community known as Summerland lies just to the east or south of Montecito. Actually, Montecito wraps around Summerland. Summerland extends from the ocean inland covering a modest south facing hillside where most of the properties have panoramic ocean views and includes portions of Ortega Ridge and the immediate interior. Summerland is basically a neighborhood unto itself and should be noted that it has its´ own zoning overlay governing land use.
Points of Interest: Summerland is known as one of Santa Barbara´s beach side communities with its New England style cottages that dot the hillside, several antique stores and white sand beaches at Lookout County Park.
